As a self-taught artist, Jean is forever trying new mediums and techniques. She has been painting for 30+ years and hopes to paint for another 30 years! She has artwork in private collections across the US and Canada.
No matter where I have lived or my travels take me, Montana is home. I feel it in the people I meet. I feel it in the lay of the land and the rush of the wind. I feel it in the flow of my paint to the paper or canvas I place it on.
To have been born and raised in Montana and still have the privilege to reside here, is a blessing. I want to preserve in my paintings, the views, way of life, and deep feelings I have for this state’s splendor and history for generations to come.
I feel being a self-taught artist has given me the liberty and freedom to discover who I am as an artist. I tend to paint with a photo realism style most of the time and throw in a touch of the imagination for the art connoisseur!
I enjoy being involved in the “Arts” in the communities I live in to encourage others to be the artists they want to be.
I have been juried into all the “Rodeo Uncorked” art auctions in Great Falls to raise money for the Sletten Cancer Center and “Shadows of the Past” art auction in Choteau, MT for many years. I have shown and participated in the “Missouri River Art Show and Sale” by Art Association of Montana. I have artwork in collections across the US and Canada.
I live in Great Falls, MT with my husband, Dave.
